We’ve all had “that teacher” who has influenced our lives, and for many students, “that teacher” is Bruce Farrer. Many years ago, Bruce told his ninth graders to write a ten-page letter to their future selves. Twenty years later, this incredible teacher tracked all of his students down and delivered the letters right back to the hands that wrote them. Their reactions show just how much this amazing act meant to them.

Beginning in January 2015 we will be adding and promoting competitions among all schools who signup for our 1 Baht per student per day campaign (with a minimum of 200 students) 365 for a 12-Month subscription. There will be weekly and monthly prizes awarded for the top achievers. We will also be setting up a regional competitions among all 10 ASEAN member countries. This regional competition will hopefully take place by late 2015. Stay tuned!

The Anti-Money Laundering Office (Amlo) will investigate alleged huge embezzlement at King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang campus (KMITL) involving 1.66 billion baht of siphoned funds.

Amporn Noisamrit, 56, head of KMITL’s financial division, was apprehended while receiving medical treatment in a private hospital in Bang Na. She is now under police  watch for later questioning.

The Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) cooperated with the National Research Council of Thailand to submitOVEC inventions and innovations, "the Toddy Palm Kernel Splitter" by Surat Thani Technical College and "the Silk and Cotton Thread Hooker with the Built-in Reel Spinning System" by Ubonratchathani Polytechnic College, to the Seoul International Invention Fair (SIIF) 2014 exhibition and contest. The event was held in Seoul, South Korea, by the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) between 25th November and 1st December 2014. More than 700 inventions and innovations from 70 worldwide countries were on display.
