Synopsis

Musician Adam Clayton was born on March 13, 1960, in Chinnor, England. It was in high school that the bass player first met future U2 bandmates Paul Hewson, Dave Evans and Larry Mullen, Jr. After hiring manager Paul McGuinness, the rock group put out several albums. Though their early records were popular, it wasn’t until 1987’s The Joshua Tree, which many call a masterpiece, that U2 tasted superstardom.
