Phenomenal powers of imagination and an unparalleled flair for filmmaking have made Tim Burton one of the most original and admired directors of horror, fantasy, sci-fi and children’s classics films for over thirty years. He started making films at age 13, inspired by his lonely childhood, and has directed 16 films since then.
This weekend English Attack! features highlights from two of Burton’s latest films: Frankenweenie, an animated take on Frankenstein, and Dark Shadows, a typically Burton-esque romantic horror film. You will see that, in addition to the very distinctive visual style and imagery, Burton is also very careful with language, making this weekend’s free Video Boosters a great way to improve your English while taking a walk “on the dark side.”
